Police Identify Body Found Near Point Fermin

PALOS VERDES, CA – Authorities identified the man who's body was found in the water near Point Fermin in San Pedro Thursday. Police and firefighters were dispatched around 8:20 a.m. Wednesday to the 800 block of Paseo Del Mar where they found a male's body, said Sgt. Thomas Bergren of the Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Station, who's death was an apparent suicide.

He was identified by the county coroner's office as 51-year-old Allen Cibulski of Huntington Beach. Firefighters recovered Cibulski's body, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
