Police Investigate Unusual Rise Of Residential Burglaries

Palos Verdes Estates police said the city usually has two to three burglaries a month, but there have been five in the last 30 days.

PALOS VERDES ESTATES — The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department said they are investigating an unusual rise of reports of residential burglaries this month.

The locations of the burglaries happened throughout the city and they include

  • 900 block Via Mirada
  • 1600 block Dalton Road
  • 700 block Via La Cuesta
  • 900 block Via Rincon
  • 1400 block Via Castilla

"Typically, our city has about 2-3 burglaries each month," PVEPD said in a statement. "In the last 30 days, residents have reported five residential burglaries to the PVEPD."

PVEPD said officers are actively investigating the string of burglaries and asked the community for help to catch the suspects.

Police suggested leaving interior lights on when no one is home, locking doors, setting home alarms and reporting suspicious activity.
