Rancho Palos Verdes Will Pick Up Your Excess Shrubs In Preparation For Fire Season
Anyone in Rancho Palos Verdes with old tree branches, bushes, hedges, etc., can have them picked up by the city starting this Saturday.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Each Saturday from March 28-April 25, to help residents prepare for fire season, waste collection company EDCO is picking up excess green waste along a different trash route in the city.
Items eligible for collection include bulk or excess brush, shrubs, hedges, tree branches and bushes.
"This is a great opportunity to clear your property before the June 1 L.A. County brush clearance deadline without having to rent bins or incur additional costs for hauling," the city said in a statement.
Acceptable green waste may be in tied bundles, in EDCO carts, and/or in other personal cans. Greens placed in plastic bags will be accepted, however the City said that it's discouraging the use of plastic bags due to "possible contamination issues" at processing facilities.
