Rolling Hills Estates Taking Sign-Ups For National Night Out 2021
Register your neighborhood, and law enforcement, fire and city staff will stop by celebrations planned Aug. 3.

ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CA — National Night Out, the annual evening marked nationwide to promote police-first responder partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, will be Tuesday, Aug. 3 in Rolling Hills Estates.
Neighborhoods interested in Rolling Hills Estates Police Department officers, fire department partners or city staff stopping by their celebrations need to sign-up by Thursday, July 15.
"The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and surroundings," the city said. "National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes first responder-community partnerships."

Such city informational material as emergency-preparedness resources also will be distributed to registrants.
National Night Out's early stages began in a Pennsylvania town in 1970, and the annual community-building campaign began catching on and expanding across the country in 1984. Now in its 38th year, the event, typically held on the first Tuesday in August, is in communities throughout the U.S. with neighborhood block parties, parades, cookouts, safety demonstrations, and visits from law enforcement and emergency personnel.
