PALOS VERDES, CA — The following is the most recent Lomita Sheriff's Station crime blotter for the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Rancho Palos Verdes

PETTY THEFT

  • Theft - June 16, 2023, between 5:20 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. - 30000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard
    • A wallet and cardholder with a driver's license, gas cards, credit cards and cash inside were reported stolen, according to the Sheriff's Station. The suspect was described as a Black woman with long hair wearing a black shirt and pants.

GRAND THEFT

  • Catalytic Converter - June 15-16, 2023, between 7 p.m. and 6:50 a.m. - 1900 block of Redondela Drive
    • A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a car, authorities said. No suspect information was available.

BURGLARY

  • Vehicle - June 12, 2023, between 6 p.m. and 6:43 p.m. - 3100 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • A purse with a wallet, sunglasses, credit cards, gift cards, cash and a driver's license was reported stolen from a car, authorities said.
  • School - June 9-13, 2023, between 4 p.m. and 9 a.m. - 30000 block of Rue De La Pierre
    • Some balls were reported stolen from Point Vicente Elementary School, authorities said. No suspect information was available.
  • Residential - June 14, 2023, between 1:30 p.m. and 1:35 p.m. - 2000 block of Daladier Drive
    • Two masked men were seen leaving a home in a white van and the rear sliding glass door of the home was found shattered, according to the Sheriff's Station. Authorities said it is unknown if the suspects stole anything.
  • Business - June 15, 2023, 2:05 a.m. - 28000 block of South Western Avenue
    • A gun was reported stolen from a business, authorities said. Deputies said the metal security gate was cut and the front glass door was shattered. The first suspect was described as a Black man wearing a red hoodie and black pants. The second suspect was described as a Black man with a black hoodie and black pants. The third suspect was described as a Black man wearing a blue hoodie and blue pants. The Sheriff's Station said the men were seen leaving the location in a white Kia Rio.

  • Assault - June 15, 2023, 2:56 a.m. - Palos Verdes Drive North and London Lane
    • An assault was reported, but no further details about the incident was available.

SHOPLIFTING

  • Business - June 15, at 6:15 p.m. - Peninsula Center
    • Fragrances were reported stolen from a business in the Peninsula Center, authorities said. The suspect was described as a Black woman with black hair who wore a black hat, black shirt and white and red pants with a black toe bag.
