HARBOR CITY, CA - Three men were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 21-year-old former Narbonne High School basketball standout and the wounding of a friend, police said Wednesday.Two of the suspects, David Lee Allen and Khalif Azon Ferguson, were arrested last Friday, according to the <a href="http://lapdonline.org" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Los Angeles Police Department</a>.Both men were charged Tuesday, each with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.A third, unidentified suspect was arrested Tuesday and awaiting charges filed, police said.All three are suspected of being members of the Harbor City Crips gang, according to police.Shailo Leafa was sitting with two friends in a parking lot in the 25800 block of South Western Avenue, near 259th Street, in Harbor City around 9:40 p.m. on March 5, 2014, when three men approached on foot and fired several rounds, striking Leafa and one other person, police said.The suspects then fled the scene, police said.Leafa and the other victim were taken to a hospital, where Leafa died a short time later, officials said. The other wounded victim was critically injured.Leafa was the Los Angeles City Section's 2010-11 Division II Player of the Year when as a point guard helped lead Narbonne to the Division II championship.
