Suspects Sought In Mortuary Burglary

The suspects pried open a display case and stole jewelry from a Rancho Palos Verdes mortuary.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA – Investigators released photos of a man and a woman Tuesday seen at a Rancho Palos Verdes mortuary where jewelry was stolen.

The burglary occurred in the afternoon hours between Aug. 27 and Sept. 3 at the Green Hills Mortuary at 27501 S. Western Ave., according to officials at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lomita Station.

"The suspects pried open two glass display cases that were located inside the mausoleum and stole jewelry," according to a sheriff's department statement.

Anyone who recognizes the man and woman or has information that could help investigators identify them was urged to call the Lomita Station at (310) 891-3217 to speak with Detective R. McKaig.
