Terranea Resort Raises $28,000 For Breast Cancer Awareness
The Palos Verdes resort is donating more than half of the funds raised to Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach.

PALOS VERDES, CA – Terranea Resort raised more than $28,000 for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month during their October "Terranea Turns Pink" initiative, it was announced Tuesday.
More than $16,000 of the total funds raised went to the local Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach, and the remainder of the fundraising money went towards the national Play for P.I.N.K., benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

- For every stay in October, the resort donated $5 in support of breast cancer research, and also gave guests the option to match the donation with an optional add-on when booking. The room package alone raised $8,330.
- Guests were also able to enjoy pink desserts, the Pink Sling Cocktail, ONEHOPE Rose Wine, pink crab cake sliders, and more. The food and drink purchases raised $1,855.50.
- Those who participated in "Full Moon Yoga" were asked to wear pink, and helped raise $1,017.
- The annual “Birdies for Breast Cancer” event at The Links, raised $14,217.00.
