The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday when several people called the police to report a wrong-way driver on Palos Verdes Drive West, according to the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department. Officers quickly found the driver, who allegedly brandished a knife at them before a sobriety check revealed the driver had a blood alcohol content three times over the legal limit, authorities said Sunday.
