22-Year-Old Shot And Dumped Off Highway ID'd

PASADENA, CA — Authorities Friday identified a gunshot victim whose body was found near Angeles Crest Highway in the Pasadena area, and continued their investigation into the man's death.

Witnesses driving through the area reported seeing the body about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday off the roadway near mile-marker 26.85, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

The coroner's office identified the man as Julio Robles-Castaneda, 22, of Pasadena.

"Based on the condition of the remains, this incident is being investigated as a homicide," according to a police statement.

No arrests were reported.
