3.7 Earthquake Strikes Above San Gabriel Mountains Friday

A temblor struck north of the San Gabriel Mountains Friday morning, measuring 3.2 magnitude on the Richter scale. Did you feel it?

Where were you just before 8:30 a.m.? If you were near San Gabriel Valley, chances are you felt a small, shallow earthquake.

The temblor rattled an area at the foothills of the Tehachapi mountains Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, striking at 8:24 a.m. with a magnitude of 3.7 at a depth of about 1.8 miles, its epicenter 11 miles north of Keen in Kern County, according to a computer-generated report from the USGS.

There were no immediate reports of damages or injuries.
