5 Ways to relieve stress...

Stress is a fact of life.  Stress comes from lifestyle, work, relationships, weather, and environment.

I see patients coming in daily to relieve stress with acupuncture and herbal therapy.  Sometimes, they're wanting the rejuvenating effects of acupuncture in a cool dark room, with soft music playing, and take a deep, refreshing nap.  I usually give them some tips to helps them continue that great feeling :

1) Drink more water!  Flushing the system with more water refreshes and rejuvenates you and helps you detoxify!

2) Cut down on sugar and hidden sugars!  Mark Hyman, MD states, "Some animal studies show that sugar is eight times more addictive than cocaine,”

3) Take a walk!  Sometimes moving and circulating by taking a short stroll is all you need to relieve stress and change your perspective!

4) Breathe!  Don't take a cigarette break, or even smoke vapes.  Take a fresh air break instead!  Take a minute to step out of the office and take a breath of fresh air in to relieve stress.

5) Meditate, Pray, Chant, or just listen to your favorite song... for 5 minutes, puts your mind under relaxation, build your immune system, reduces blood pressure, and provides a sense of calmness and well being.
