PASADENA, CA — The Pasadena Tournament of Roses offered a first look Thursday at four floats planned for the 2027 Rose Parade.

The renderings provide an early preview of floats that will appear in the 138th Rose Parade on Jan. 1 under the theme "Welcome," according to Tournament of Roses officials.

The Elks USA float, titled "Elks, Welcoming All, Serving All," depicts a gold carriage pulled by two white horses, with American flags rising above the carriage and musicians and other figures riding aboard.

Kiwanis International's "Garden of Hope" float depicts a community garden filled with oversized flowers, fruits and vegetables, along with bees, a butterfly and people tending the garden. A large watering can pours water onto the garden.

The OneLegacy Donate Life float, "Guiding Your Journey," features brightly colored fantastical creatures, including a hummingbird and a large winged creature, above a floral platform carrying several people.

Shriners Children's "Adventure Awaits!" float depicts a woodland camping scene with a tent, campfire, waterfall and canoe surrounded by animals including deer, rabbits, a fox, raccoon and beaver. A line with three small animals hanging from it stretches above the scene.

Elks USA, Kiwanis International and Shriners Children's will have floats built by Phoenix Decorating Company, while the OneLegacy Donate Life float will be built by Artistic Entertainment Services.

Tournament officials said the floats will eventually be covered with flowers and other natural materials before traveling along Colorado Boulevard on New Year's Day.

The Rose Parade began in 1890 and features floats, marching bands and equestrian units.

Additional float designs are expected to be unveiled as the parade approaches.

The 138th Rose Parade presented by Honda will be held Jan. 1, 2027, followed by the 113th Rose Bowl Game.
