• Breakthrough T1D Greater Los Angeles October Newsletter (breakthrought1d.org) — Pasadena will host two major Breakthrough T1D gatherings, including a March 2027 Walk at the Rose Bowl and a free Community Summit on November 15 at the Pasadena Convention Center. Local families affected by type 1 diabetes can learn about the latest research, technology, and mental health resources, attend breakout sessions, and connect with others while also exploring future advocacy and fundraising opportunities.
   

• USPS to Unveil Route 66 Forever Stamp in Pasadena (mynewsla.com) — Pasadena residents can see the new Route 66 Forever stamp unveiled this Sunday at the Pasadena Museum of History, where admission is free and a special commemorative postmark will be offered. The Pasadena Post Office will keep that postmark available for 30 days, and locals can also request it by mail, making it easy to mark the highway's centennial with a hometown connection.
   

• NASA Curiosity Rover Captures Dawn Panorama of Mars Cliffs (worldstockmarket.net) — Pasadena's Jet Propulsion Laboratory is guiding NASA's Curiosity rover as it captures a striking dawn panorama of wind-carved cliffs on Mars, marking the mission's highest elevation yet. The new images and upcoming route toward unusual yardang formations will help scientists better understand ancient water, volcanic ash deposits, and long-term climate change on the Red Planet.
