2. Pasadena's Arroyo Seco Cleanup Comes as Brookside Park Stormwater Project Moves Toward Final Design (pasadenanow.com) — Pasadena volunteers recently cleared trash from the Arroyo Seco at Brookside Park as the city advances a major stormwater capture project beneath the Rose Bowl's Lot I. The project would treat runoff from northwest Pasadena, recharge local groundwater, and improve water quality in the Arroyo Seco and Los Angeles River, with construction timelines and funding decisions still evolving.

3. Altadena survivors want more time to review major post-fire report (pasadenastarnews.com) — Altadena residents who lost homes in the devastating Eaton fire, just north of Pasadena, are demanding more time for Los Angeles County to review a scathing 724-page report on the disaster response. Survivors say seven days is far too short, question potential conflicts of interest in the county-led review, and are calling for leadership changes and citizen oversight to prevent similar failures.

4. Skid Row Drug Trafficking Arrests: 23 Nabbed in Federal Sweep (edhat.com) — Federal agents have arrested 23 people accused of trafficking fentanyl and meth in and around Skid Row, with one defendant linked to residences in Pasadena and local police assisting the sweep. Authorities say dealers exploited homeless residents using tents and low-income housing as drug hubs, and warn those charged now face potentially lengthy federal prison sentences if convicted.
