Blaze Pizza Will Open Monday
Blaze Pizza uses an assembly line format similar to Chipotle Mexican Grill. It's located at the corner of Colorado and El Molino.

Pasadena residents Elise and Rick Wetzel have had much success with the creation of Wetzel’s Pretzels.
Now, they're opening Blaze Pizza at 667 East Colorado Blvd., which offers fast-fire’d artisanal pizzas crafted by chef and owner of Olio Pizzeria & Café, Bradford Kent (Zagat's #2 pizza in Los Angeles).
“This is an opportunity for me to take the years I’ve spent developing my dough recipe and bring it to a broader audience,” Kent said in a press release.

Backed by investors including Maria Shriver, movie producer John Davis and Boston Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner, Blaze Pizza uses a “co-created” assembly line format (similar to Chipotle Mexican Grill®) that lets guests customize one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create one of their own.
With one location already open in Irvine, the company plans to open additional locations in the coming months through franchising.
