Brush Fire Slows Traffic Along the 210 Freeway

PACOIMA, CA — A small brush fire is burning alongside the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway at Paxton Street in the Pacoima area. The blaze broke out at about 1:15 Tuesday afternoon, and sent smoke billowing over the freeway and jammed up traffic on boths sides of the 210 Freeway.

Firefighters are working to extinguish a fire, which was less than a quarter-acre in size as of 2 p.m. The blaze reportedly started with a vehicle fire that spread to nearby brush.
