Skughofey Foundation

In October of 2013 Skughofey Quincy Earl and community leaders, started the development of Skughofey Foundation. In 2020 our foundation reached new heights when Skughofey Foundation incorporated in the State of California in march, and receiving our 501(c)3 status the same year. The specific purpose of this education organization is to promote and/or social development of youth in the community.

Skughofey Foundation better known as S.F., advocates alternative programs including performing arts opportunity for men and women transitioning from youth correctional facilities; at-risk teenagers and children of all ages. The youth outreach programs provide social service programs include family services, healthcare assistance, transitional housing assistance, anger and domestic violence counseling, life skill training, computer training, drug & alcohol program and ongoing series of work-shop, after school projects for developing a wide range of activity within the community.

Skughofey Foundation believes that the key to getting our youth away from at risk activities and keeping them encouraged, stem from providing music, recreational and entertainment activities. Society had said that music soother the savage beast. Performance will be the instrument that will grab their attention, and keep them focused. Once the youth has gone through the music workshops, each participant will begin to realize that gang affiliations and drug, alcohol, smoking and other criminal activities is a dead-end road.

Skughofey Foundation will assist each individual in developing their own unique creative ability. These programs are designed to install self-study skills and help disadvantaged to achieve high self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-discipline and self-discovery. By helping the individual recognize their self-worth, each music counselor can then reach and direct an individual to planning a productive enriching lifestyle.
