Hiker Suffers Head Injury On Pasadena Trail

PASADENA, CA — A man in his 20s was taken to a hospital Tuesday after falling and striking his head on a boulder on a trail in Pasadena.

The Pasadena Fire Department received a call about 4 p.m. concerning an injured hiker who needed to be transported to a hospital for treatment, Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said.

"He was conscious and was walked out to safety by his companions," Derderian said. "We (fire department) were on scene about 45 minutes and then took him to a hospital to be treated."
