Large Oak Tree Falls on Occupied Car in Pasadena

Several large trees toppled over Monday across Pasadena in the wake of Sunday's deluge.

PASADENA, CA -- A driver managed to escape unharmed Monday when a large tree fell onto a vehicle in Pasadena, where several large trees toppled in the aftermath of Sunday's intense rainfall.

A large oak tree fell onto the car in the 500 block of Tamarac Drive damaging the power lines in the process, according to the Pasadena Fire Department. The incident happened at about 10 a.m. Monday.

Residents and commuters are being advised to avoid the area while crews worked to clear the scene.
