Man, 66, Arrested In Fatal Pasadena Stabbing

Witnesses detain an elderly man after he allegedly stabbed two men Tuesday night in Pasadena.

PASADENA, CA — Police in Pasadena arrested an elderly man accused of stabbing another man to death and critically wounding another.

According to police, witnesses detained a 66-year-old man who allegedly stabbed another man in the chest at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday following an argument in the 2600 block of East Colorado Boulevard.

A man in his 40s was stabbed in the upper body and died at a hospital, police said. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives. A man in his 30s was taken to a hospital for treatment of a leg wound and was listed in critical condition, police said.

"Preliminary information revealed there was some type of verbal exchange between the victims and the suspect," police said. "The suspect left but returned a short time later armed with a knife and stabbed both victims. The motive for the attack remains unclear at this time."

Police did not immediately release the name of the suspect.
