Police say a homeless man attacked a driver and his elderly mother, forcing him to reverse with the carjacker hanging out the window.

PASADENA, CA — A 37-year-old homeless man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of attempted carjacking and assaulting a man sitting in his car with his elderly mother in Pasadena.

It happened about 10:20 a.m. at a Burger King in the 760 block of North Lake Avenue, according to Pasadena police Lt. William Grisafe.

The 60-year-old driver was sitting in his car with his mother while his wife was inside the Burger King ordering food, the Pasadena Star News reported.
