Great food has always added to Pasadena life, but there are so many great restaurants it's almost impossible to explore them all. From high-end dining to casual bistros and ethnic eateries, the city an cater to just about any taste.
I recently discovered a great way to sample gourmet dishes around town. A number of restaurants offer gourmet cuisine at happy hour prices to showcase their menus for locals.
ABC 7 recently recognized Magnolia Lounge as one of LA’s most popular happy hour spots. On Mondays, Magnolia offers an all-night happy hour with 30 percent discounts on a range of food from sandwiches to barbecue pizzas. On Wednesdays, all-you-can-eat Mac ‘n Cheese is on the menu after 8 p.m., for just $5.
Magnolia Lounge is a nightspot where guests can enjoy food, a full bar and wines from around the world. It’s been voted as “best bar” and “best cocktail” in addition to being recognized as a great happy hour option.
Tokyo Shabu, next to Macy’s and below Trader Joe’s at The Shops on Lake Avenue, offers a Japanese style fusion fondue experience. Their Happy Hour menu includes Japanese ice cream, Tokyo chicken wings and more. View their Happy Hour Menu
