Pasadena Man Stabs His Mother To Death: Police
The 30-year-old man allegedly called police and confessing to killing his mother.

PASADENA, CA — A Pasadena man is in custody today after allegedly stabbing his mother to death. According to police, the 30-year-old an called 9-1-1 and announced that he had killed his mother Monday night.
Police arrived on scene ata round 9:15 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Mentor Avenue and took Alex Evans into custody on suspicion of murder. His mother, a woman in her 60s was found dead of multiple stab wounds at the home, according to the Pasadena Police Department.
"Police ... received a call from a man stating he killed his mother," according to police. "Police dispatch kept the suspect on the line while officers responded to the scene."
Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.

There was no immediate word on a possible motive for the attack.
Evans was being held on $2 million bail.
