On May 30th, a few weeks shy of three months from the arrival of the global pandemic, the Pasadena PD took a moment to say thank you to their team and families with an Appreciation BBQ held in the back lot of the Department.
“We invited everyone. Dispatchers, jailers, officers, civilians … basically everyone who had to work so hard these past few months due to the pandemic,” said Pasadena Police Lieutenant Carolyn Gordon. “We just really wanted to say thank you to everyone.”

Pasadena Police Sergeant Chris Burchett did all the shopping and grilling and Pasadena Police Dispatch Supervisor Alexis Tavera created a dessert bar, as a thank you to the team and their families. Supervisors from different department’s helped with the grilling, cooking and serving.
“Even through everything these last few months, our team has continually worked hard to keep our community safe and keep criminals off the street,” said Gordon. “We all just want to keep Pasadena safe.”
