Pasadena Police Release Sketch Of Double Homicide Suspect
Police are asking for help identifying a man suspected of shooting into a crowd, killing two people as part of an ongoing gang war
PASADENA, CA — Pasadena police Thursday released a composite drawing of one of four men sought in connection with an apparent gang-related double homicide in January.
The victims, both 24-year-old Pasadena residents, were gunned down in a drive-by shooting into a crowd gathered at a streetside vigil where another young man was gunned down in December. The shooting happened at about 11:50 p.m. Jan. 6 in the 100 block of West Claremont Street. Antione Sutphen died at the scene and Ormoni Duncan died at a hospital.
"Although the motive remains unconfirmed, all information and investigative leads suggests a feud between a local Pasadena gang and a gang from the Duarte area which erupted a few months prior to the murders," according to a Pasadena police statement.

At 11:53 p.m. Jan. 6, officers responded to a shooting in the 70 block of Pepper Street, where they found Sutphen fatally wounded in a walkway, according to Pasadena police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian.
Within minutes, paramedics reported they were treating a second gunshot victim -- a 38-year-old woman who was taken to a hospital in critical condition. In that same time period, a single-car crash occurred at the intersection of California Boulevard and Saint John Avenue, where responding officers discovered two additional gunshot victims..

Duncan died at the scene, while a second male in the vehicle sustained a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.
A shooting about two hours later in Duarte that left at least one victim with non-life-threatening injuries was possibly related to the one in Pasadena, the lieutenant said.
Since police made a public appeal Monday for help in solving the crime, "witnesses have come forward and provided further information, resulting in a composite sketch of one suspect," Pasadena police Lt. Tracey Ibarra said.
The murder suspects have been described as:
- Male Black, dark complexion, approximately 20 to 25 years old, 6’0” to 6’2” tall, and 210 to 220 lbs.
- Male Black, dark complexion, approximately 25 to 30 years old, 5’10” to 6’0” tall, and 240 to 250 lbs.
- Male Black, medium complexion, approximately 25 to 30 years old, 5’9” to 5’11” tall, and 210 to 220 lbs.
- Male Black, light complexion, approximately 25 to 30 years old, 5’11” to 6’01” tall, and 180 to 190 lbs.
