Pasadena Police Renews Call Searching For Missing Octogenarian
Dawud Qayyim Karriem, 87, was last seen around noon on Feb. 7 in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Street, police said.

PASADENA, CA -- Police Tuesday are asking again for the public's help in locating an 87-year-old Pasadena man who went missing earlier this month.
Dawud Qayyim Karriem was last seen around noon on Feb. 7 in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Street, the Pasadena Police Department said.
Karriem, commonly called "Al" by friends and family, has poor eyesight but is otherwise described as healthy and active, police said. He does not own a car but frequently takes walks in Pasadena while using a cane.

Karriem's family told police he has never gone missing before and it is unusual for him to be away from his home for this long.
"Foul play has not been ruled out and there is concern for Mr. Karriem's welfare," a police statement said.

Karriem is black, 5 feet 7 and about 140 pounds. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241. Det. Tim Bundy is the lead detective and can be contacted Monday through Thursday at (626) 744-4522.
