Pasadena Posts Zero Waste Survey

With a goal of achieving a zero-waste footprint by 2040, the City of Pasadena is asking for the input of residents in delveloping the Zero Waste Strategic Plan.  The idea is to eliminate garbage completely and recycle or reuse everything that is currently thrown away.

The City has posted a survey that will gather the opinions and concerns of residents.  It’s 25 multiple-choice questions with space for comments and suggestions and it clsoes Oct. 15.  Residents, business owners and other stakeholders, are invited to take the survey.

The City Council adopted the United Nations Green Cities declaration and Urban Environmental Accords in 2006, which includes moving to zero waste and provides the framework for the Green City Action Plan.
