Pasadena Teen Dad Suspected Of Killing His Two-Year-Old Son
Police arrested a 16-year-old boy they say confessed to punching his one-year-old son before he died.

PASADENA, CA — A 16-year-old boy was in custody Thursday on suspicion of murder in Pasadena for allegedly beating to death his toddler son, a police lieutenant said.
Officers dispatched on Feb. 4 about 8:30 a.m. to the 1600 block of Kenneth Way regarding a boy just under 2 years old who was not breathing reported that paramedics arriving at the scene earlier had pronounced the boy, Brandon Blackburn, dead, Pasadena police Lt. Jesse Carrillo said.
"The investigation revealed that the toddler was free of medical issues," Carrillo said. "The autopsy results confirmed the cause of Blackburn's death was due to blunt force trauma to his abdomen area."
