The Pizza Press Publishes in Pasadena

The Pizza Press, a leading fast-casual, build-your-own pizza restaurant, is under new ownership at 1655 E.Colorado St. Elevating the build-your-own pizza experience, Pasadena residents can now publish their own pizza and indulge in delicious craft beers and wine.

The location is under new ownership, led by two entrepreneurs Sam Sahami and Robert Maglalang. After graduating from the same MBA program, Sahami and Maglalang teamed up to devise a game plan for their future as entrepreneurs. After various business ventures 10 years later, Sahami and Maglalang decided to enter into the fast-casual service industry finding The Pizza Press to be a perfect fit with their love for pizza and craft beer. The duo plans to eventually open an additional two locations in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

The Pizza Press is a unique concept dedicated to elevating the build-your-own pizza model to an experiential level, by creating an immersive 1920s Americana newspaper theme in which great food, craft beer, ambiance, and service are combined. Inspired by the mechanized dough press, The Pizza Press harkens back to an industrialized era when newspapers were the foundation of the community.

Pasadena editors help guests create their own custom pizzas or select one of the signature pizzas named after major newspapers such as The Times, The Tribune, The Chronicle, and others. The pizzas are published in just under four minutes and can be paired delectably with more than 16 different craft beers on tap, which change regularly and regionally. The Pizza Press Pasadena has two wine choices on tap along with a wide range of bottles of wine in store. Build your own and deliciously prepared salads, gluten-free dough, and vegan cheese and topping options are also available.

The rapidly growing franchise has 17 locations in Southern California, Texas and Florida, and plans to have 30 restaurants opened by mid-2018.
