Road Rage Devolves Into Machete/Pipe Fight In Pasadena
One man was hospitalized and a second was arrested in violent road rage confrontation in Pasadena.

PASADENA, CA — A road rage incident in Pasadena escalated into violence Tuesday when driver one driver brandished a machete while his foe attacked him with a metal pole, according to police.
The pole-wielding driver sent the machete man to the hospital, police said.
The fight happened at about 7:15 p.m. Monday at Los Robles Avenue and Walnut Street. Michael Barnes, 44, of Pasadena allegedly used the foot-long pole to hit the other driver on the head multiple times, according to authorities. He was arrested on charges of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and is being held at the Pasadena jail on $30,000 bail.

The other driver remains hospitalized in stable condition. He initally pulled out a machete during the argument in the middle of the intersection, but he thought better of it. According to police, he put it back in his car and didn't use it.
