Ruptured Water Main Shuts Down South Arroyo Boulevard ​and La Loma Street

PASADENA, CA — Construction workers ruptured a water main in Pasadena Tuesday evening, triggering road closures and disrupting rush hour traffic on South Arroyo Boulevard and La Loma Street.

The water main was ruptured during construction work on the La Loma Street Bridge. The damage triggered the closures of South Arroyo Boulevard from California Boulevard to Bradford Street and La Loma Street from Hillside Terrace to Grand Street.

The water is off and engineers have been dispatched to check roadway structural integrity, police say.
