Several Pets Killed In Pasadena House Fire
Firefighters were able to rescue one dog, but several pets went missing in an afternoon house fire in Pasadena.

PASADENA, CA — A fire that went to two alarms engulfed a house in Pasadena Friday, killing a dog and several cats.
The fire was reported about 2:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Oak Avenue near Villa Street, according to Lisa Derderian of the Pasadena Fire Department.
First-arriving crews encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. No one was inside the home, according to Derderian, who said a dog was saved, but several other pets were unaccounted for.

It took about 20 minutes to knock down the fire, she said.
