Shots Fired During Attempted Robbery At Glendale Galleria
No one was injured in the 2:47 p.m. shooting at Bhindi Jewelers.

GLENDALE, CA -- A security guard Saturday fired shots at suspects in an attempted robbery at a jewelry store in the Glendale Galleria, authorities said. No one was injured in the 2:47 p.m. shooting at Bhindi Jewelers in the mall at 2148 Galleria Way, Glendale Police Sgt. Dan Suttles said.
The armed guard fired two to three shots, Suttles said. One suspect was in custody and two got away.
"There is no danger to the public," he said. The suspects did not use a gun in the robbery attempt.

The suspects brought hammers or mallets into the store to attempt a "smash and grab" robbery, Suttles said.
The incident was under investigation.
