Suspected Pasadena Killer Held On $3 Million Bail

A 22-year-old man is suspected of shooting to death another man in Pasadena Monday.

PASADENA (CNS) - A 22-year-old man was being held on $3 million bail Friday in connection with a fatal shooting in Pasadena, police reported.

Deleon Jackson of Pasadena is charged with second-degree murder for allegedly killing 27-year-old Eric Lamar Holloway, a Pasadena resident who was shot in the head, police said.

A passerby found the victim about 3:20 a.m. Monday on the ground in the 1000 block of East Maple Street and alerted police, Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema said.

Holloway, who had suffered a single gunshot wound, died at Huntington Hospital about an hour and a half later.

Jackson was arrested shortly before 9 p.m. Monday, and the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office on Thursday.

Jackson is next due in court in Pasadena on Aug. 24, according to sheriff's inmate records.
