Volunteers Needed for Pasadena Senior Games

Several positions are available

Volunteers of all ages are needed for several positions during the Pasadena Senior Games and California Senior Games Championships now through July 15.

The games feature competitions for athletes ages 50 and older in nearly 30 categories from archery to volleyball.

Volunteers are needed at competition venues in Pasadena, Arcadia, Burbank, Glendale, Highland Park, Long Beach, Los Angeles, South El Monte, Simi Valley and Van Nuys. Volunteer positions include registering athletes, timing, scoring, manning water stations, running to deliver results of foot races, handling medals and providing refreshments.

Founded in 1960, the Pasadena Senior Center is an independent, nonprofit organization that offers recreational, educational, wellness and social services to people ages 50 and older in a welcoming environment. Services are also provided for frail, low-income and homebound seniors.
