• Petaluma City Manager Peggy Flynn leads big changes through crisis (pressdemocrat.com) — Petaluma’s city manager Peggy Flynn is being honored regionally for leading the city through fiscal crisis, the pandemic, and ambitious climate policies. Under her tenure, Petaluma banned new gas stations, launched the Climate Ready 2030 plan, and secured voter approval for a crucial one‑cent sales tax to stabilize city finances.    

• Golf: Local quartet advances in North Coast Section playoffs (pressdemocrat.com) — Petaluma golfers Curt Mertens and Mo Rutan competed in the North Coast Section Division 2 championships, with several North Bay players advancing to next week’s Division 1 tournament in Windsor. The event highlighted strong showings from Cardinal Newman, Justin-Siena and Rancho Cotate, while also listing scores for St. Vincent and Petaluma High competitors.
