SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Drivers will be facing construction-related slowdowns today as Caltrans crews close shoulders along Highway 116 and shut down a lane on Highway 12, creating potential bottlenecks during the morning and afternoon commute.
Caltrans crews have closed the right shoulder on eastbound Highway 116 between Casa Grande Road and Frates Road in Petaluma. The closure remains in effect until 5 p.m. Monday.
Workers also have closed the right shoulder on eastbound Highway 116 at the southbound U.S. Highway 101 interchange in Petaluma. That closure is scheduled to remain in place until 5 p.m.
In Santa Rosa, construction crews have closed a lane on eastbound Highway 12 at Calistoga Road. The lane closure remains in effect until 2 p.m.
The projects are active as of 8:42 a.m. Monday, according to Caltrans.
Motorists approaching the work zones should expect reduced speeds, shifting traffic patterns, and possible delays while crews continue work throughout the day.
