Petaluma's Antique Faire Brings Finds And Closures

PETALUMA, CA —

More than 200 antique dealers will fill downtown Petaluma on Sunday, turning the Kentucky Street area into a marketplace — and closing several streets for much of the day.

The free 40th annual Petaluma Fall Antique Faire will offer the astute browser and potential buyer estate jewelry, linens, furniture, art, kitchenware, vintage décor, books, and other collectibles.

Organizers say the fair attracts more than 8,000 collectors and first-time buyers.

Police encourage visitors to use public transit to ease congestion. The following closures are scheduled from approximately 3 a.m. to 7 p.m.:

• Fourth Street and Kentucky Street between B Street and Washington Street
• Western Street between Keller Street and Petaluma Boulevard
• B Street between Fifth Street and Petaluma Boulevard
• A Street parking lot

Drivers who cannot avoid the area should allow extra travel time, police said.

Organizers ask visitors to leave pets at home to keep them from being overwhelmed by crowds.
