Petaluma Police Arrest Teen Suspected Of Sound-Wall Graffiti

PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police arrested a 15-year-old resident Wednesday night suspected of spray-painting a concrete sound wall along East Washington Street.

Officers spotted the graffiti at about 11:20 p.m. near Garfield Drive. When they turned their patrol vehicle around to contact the person, the teen rode away on a bicycle, according to police.

Officers stopped the teenager near Garfield Drive and Aaron Court.

Police said they found three spray-paint cans in his backpack, documented several areas of fresh graffiti on the wall, and saw what appeared to be fresh paint on his hand. Officers arrested him on suspicion of felony vandalism and booked him into Juvenile Hall.
