• Cal Poly Humboldt, Brightscape Networks Launch 'Redwood Rural Reach' Project to Bring Broadband to Rural Humbo (lostcoastoutpost.com) — Phillipsville is one of 23 rural communities included in a new USDA-funded "Redwood Rural Reach" project that's planning future broadband upgrades in Humboldt and Trinity counties. Organizers from Brightscape Networks and Cal Poly Humboldt are hosting October 6–8 meetings and a survey to understand how residents use the internet, what isn't working, and what kind of service Phillipsville households and businesses really need.
