A Red-Headed Wonder Takes the Cake
Caitlin Baldridge, Ausitn Kelley, and Theo Quayle won Piedmont High School's 46th annual Bird Calling Contest for their portrayal of the American Coot.
The American Coot is a real hottie. In the winning performance, an old guy with a reference book (Austin Kelley) and a young guy with an iPad (Theo Quayle) competed for the attention of the bird (Caitlin Baldridge) by rattling off facts about her.
in the competition went to Andrew Gage, Augie Grahn, and Jeremy Kruger for calling the Trumpeter Hornbill.
went to Tlalli Moya-Smith, Andrew Moorhead, and Zach Piser who called the Wood Stork.
