All East Bay BART Lines Expected To Resume At 9 A.M. After Fire
Blue, Green, Orange lines were delayed and some stations closed. The Pittsburg-Bay Point Yellow line and Richmond Red line were unaffected.

BART service is expected to resume at several stations in Alameda County by 9 a.m. today after a fire on a train early this morning caused major delays and station closures, a BART spokesman said.
Crews have been working this morning to remove the train and repair the tracks where the fire occurred at 4:38 a.m. on the last train of a three-car train between the Coliseum and Fruitvale stations in Oakland, BART officials said.
The fire prompted the closure of the Lake Merritt, Fruitvale, Coliseum and San Leandro stations, as well as the connector to Oakland International Airport.

BART officials initially said service would likely be disrupted through the morning commute, but BART spokesman Taylor Huckaby has since said the repairs were going more quickly than expected and that service is expected to resume by 9 a.m.
Huckaby said Alameda-Contra Costa Transit buses are helping to take passengers between the stations that remain closed.
