Animal Shelter Reduces Adoption Fees All Month Long

Animal lovers won’t have to wait until Valentine’s Day to share their love with a pet, as an Oakland animal shelter are lowering their adoptions fees as of Monday.

For the entire month of February, Oakland Animal Services is lowering adoption fees for all animals to just $14, according to the organization.

“We know pets provide unconditional love and the science proves pet owners are actually happier and healthier as a result,” the shelter’s director Rebecca Katz said in a statement.

Regular adoption fees normally vary depending on the animal, according to the Oakland Animal Services website.
