Back-To-School: Time Management Strategies for Students

FREE Educational Workshop Presented by Strategies for Learning, Inc. and sponsored by PRAISE

Parents and educators of all students, kindergarten through high school, are invited to attend Back to School: Time Management Strategies for Students on Thursday, September 18th, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Piedmont Community Center. Join us for a free presentation on practical strategies for developing effective daily routines, planning for long-term homework projects, and using reminders and prompting methods. Examples of working with all types of learners, including those with learning disabilities or learning differences, will be included. Presenter Maria Howard, M.A., M.S.T., is Family Education Coordinator at Strategies for Learning, Inc., a leading provider of academic support, advocacy, assessment, and case management for K-12 students and adults. The program is sponsored by PRAISE (Piedmonters for Resources, Advocacy, and Information in Special Education). PRAISE is a parent group whose goal is to promote awareness, understanding and appreciation of learning differences among all members of our schools and community. PRAISE fosters a supportive and inclusive social climate in our schools and larger community; we work to ensure that Piedmont schools are a vibrant, safe and supportive place for all. Our fundraising efforts help support teacher trainings, learning materials and other relevant needs to support children with social, emotional and learning differences. Caregivers are also welcome to attend this valuable evening.
