Bicyclist Killed in Collision With Motorcycle
The motorcyclist and passenger are both hospitalized.

OAKLAND, CA — A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a motorcycle in North Oakland on Wednesday afternoon, according to police.
The crash was reported at 4:42 p.m. as the bicyclist, later identified as 70-year-old Robert Russell of Oakland, was riding in the area of 51st Street and Shafter Avenue.
The bicyclist, motorcycle rider and a passenger were all taken to a hospital for treatment, police said. Russell died there early this morning, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.

The motorcycle rider and passenger were both reported to be in stable condition. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.
