Last year, the Old Oakland Merchants Association decided to host monthly summer strolls, and we're inviting the neighborhood to come out again!
We're closing down 9th street between Washington and Broadway to bring artists and vendors from around town right into the heart of Oakland. We're also bringing out fun summer activities like tetherball, ladder toss, and corn hole! Swing by the MADE for playable video game history. And listen to some amazing R&B with performances at the Tiny Stage from local legend iStevie.
When you get hungry, check out the world class food and drink around the neighborhood. We have wonderful restaurants like District, Square Pie Guys, Popoca, The Cook and Her Farmer, Las Guerreras, Huang Cheng Noodles, and more! Or grab a beer at Sante Adairius or catch a late afternoon buzz at Sa'ana coffee.
While we want to highlight the wonderful businesses and community organizations in the neighborhood, this event is for and about you, our neighbors. We're primarily here to make a space for all of us to step away from the screens, the daily worries, and just meet face to face!
So come out with us! Join your neighbors for the sense of community, catch up with old friends, and make some new ones.
