NBA Legend Gary Payton to Be Honored at Salvation Army's "The Way Out" Gala in Oakland

On Saturday, September 12, The Way Out Gala 2026-A Night for Others will take place at 6 pm at the massively renovated ($100,000,000+) Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts in Oakland, one of the Bay Area's most stunning venues and the perfect backdrop for a truly special night. HJK has five entertainment spaces, and the Salvation Army's event will be in the basketball arena! 
Here's what's in store:

🏀 They'll be honoring NBA Hall of Famer and Oakland's own Gary Payton Sr. "The Glove" in a live conversation with renowned sportscaster Tim Roye, the "Voice of the Warriors". 

💃 The Warriors Dance Team will be performing

🍽️ An elegant dinner, a spirited auction, and an atmosphere full of people who genuinely care about making a difference in our community.
