Starting Saturday, November 14, 1-4 PM, Peralta Hacienda Historical Park opens its doors on the second Saturday of every month for a free afternoon of guided tours, hands-on history, and community. Bring the kids, bring your friends, and discover the stories of this land. Every month there will be a new theme!

Discover Unknown Indigenous Stories

Curator's Tour of Indigenous Voices at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM (45 minutes)?

Walk through Indigenous Voices with Curator Holly Alonso. These outdoor and indoor exhibits were created with Ohlone artists and culture bearers. Follow the Kaknu Story Path, stand before SII, Walter Hood's sculpture of the Chochenyo word for water, and step inside the new Ohlone Room. The Ohlone have lived on this land for at least 22,000 years, and their message today is clear: We Are Still Here.

Hands-On History for All Ages

?Get a taste of our popular Field Trip program, now open to families, educators, and anyone who can't join us on a weekday. Explore how people lived and worked on this land through fun, hands-on activities like weaving corn-husk dolls, trying your hand at lassoing, and learning Ohlone songs. It's history you can touch, make, and take home!

Launch Day Special: Pupusas!

To celebrate our first Saturday at the Hacienda, Fruitvale's own pupusera Angela Alcocer will be selling handmade pupusas and showing how they're made.
