Carriage Rides, Santa, Caroling on Lakeshore

Lakeshore Avenue will celebrate the holidays with festivities Friday and Saturday, Dec. 21 and 22, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Free carriage rides, visits from Santa and face painting are among the activities. Free two-hour parking is available on Saturday, courtesy of Oakland's holiday parking program. 

Local caroling groups are invited to perform. For more information, call Pamela Drake at (510) 593-3721.

The event is sponsored by the Lakeshore Avenue Business Improvement District.
